Reishi is too hard and bitter to eat, so nearly all of it is sold as tea slices, powder or extract. We supply dried slices priced per kg online, and quote powder and extracts to your specification.
Extract specification
Tell us the polysaccharide and triterpene targets (for example 30% polysaccharides, 4% triterpenes), extraction method, carrier, organic status and annual volume. Every lot ships with a certificate of analysis for actives, heavy metals, microbiology and pesticide residues.

Family
Polyporaceae

Ecology & habitat
A woody bracket fungus on hardwood stumps. Most commercial "Ganoderma lucidum" from Asia is the East Asian species G. lingzhi (described 2012). Grown on logs or sawdust bags.
Appearance & flavour
Glossy red-brown, kidney-shaped cap. Woody and very bitter, so it is used for tea, tinctures and extracts rather than cooking.
Notable compounds
Triterpenoids (ganoderic acids, which carry the bitterness) and polysaccharides (beta-glucans). Extracts are standardised to a percentage of each.
