Please read these terms before you order. They explain how buying from us works and what each of us is responsible for.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website and to every order placed through it, whether in the shop or by accepting a quote. By placing an order you agree to them. Our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds policy and Privacy Policy form part of them. If you buy as a consumer, nothing here affects the rights that consumer law gives you.

This website is operated by MycoRova (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@mycorova.com.

Buying from us

• You must be at least 18 years old to order.
• You are responsible for checking that the product you order may lawfully be imported into, possessed in and used in your country. We decline orders we believe we cannot lawfully fulfil.
• Our products are sold as food or as research material, as described on each product. They are not sold for any other purpose.

Products and descriptions

Product descriptions state what we can document. We make no medical or health claims.

Many of our mushrooms are wild-harvested. Size, colour, moisture and aroma vary naturally between harvests and lots, and photos show typical product. Prices are per kg and weights are net weights at packing; dried product can lose or gain a little moisture in transit.

Cook all mushrooms thoroughly before eating. Some species, including morels, enoki, shiitake and Lanmaoa asiatica, can cause illness when eaten raw or undercooked.

Orders and contract

When you place an order we send an email confirming that we have received it. That email is not yet acceptance. A contract is formed when we confirm dispatch, or for quoted orders when we confirm your acceptance of the quote. We may decline an order, for example if the product is unavailable, if we cannot ship it to your destination lawfully, or if a price was shown in error; we then refund anything you paid.

Quotes and trade orders

A quote is an offer valid for the period stated on it, for the quantities, product forms, destination and Incoterm it describes. Prices for wild product depend on the harvest, so we may need to re-quote after it expires. When you accept a quote, its terms and the pro-forma invoice apply together with these terms; where they differ, the quote applies. Trade buyers act in the course of business and the consumer provisions here do not apply to them.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency displayed in the shop and include or exclude tax as indicated at checkout. Shipping is added at checkout. Promotions and promo codes apply under the conditions stated with them, cannot be exchanged for cash and, unless stated, cannot be combined. Online orders are paid at checkout; quoted orders are paid as the invoice states. Goods remain ours until paid in full.

Delivery and risk

Delivery is described in our Shipping Policy. For consumers, risk in the goods passes when they are delivered to you or to someone you nominated. For trade orders, delivery and risk follow the agreed Incoterm. Import duties, taxes and permits are the buyer’s responsibility unless the order or quote states otherwise.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your cancellation and return rights, including the exceptions for fresh and opened food, are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.

Accounts

Keep your password confidential and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for orders placed through it. We may suspend an account used fraudulently or in breach of these terms. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

Website content and research information

Information on this site describes our products for trade and culinary use. It is not medical advice, and we make no health claims for any product.

Research summaries label each claim as an established finding, a reported observation or an open question, and link to the source. They are not medical advice. Do not use anything on this site to decide whether to eat a wild mushroom you have picked.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the website: no attempts to gain unauthorised access, to disrupt it, to scrape it at a volume that affects other users, or to submit false orders, quote requests or reviews.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs, illustrations, maps, logos and design of this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may share links and quote short passages with attribution. Any other copying needs our written permission.

Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses of consumers, or for loss caused by using a product contrary to its label or preparation instructions. For trade orders, our total liability for an order is limited to the price of that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failed harvest, extreme weather, plant-health restrictions, changes in import rules, carrier or customs disruption. We will tell you, and you may cancel an affected order for a refund of anything paid for undelivered goods.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts. Please contact us first: most problems are solved quickly by email.
